My Typhoon Experience
私の台風体験
英語ストーリー
Last week, a typhoon hit our city. I had never experienced such strong winds before. The news forecast predicted heavy rain and strong gusts, so I decided to stay home.
The wind howled throughout the night, rattling the windows and shaking the house. I could hear the rain beating against the glass, a constant, relentless drumming. At one point, the power went out, plunging the house into darkness. It was quite frightening.
The next morning, the storm had passed, but the damage was significant. Trees were uprooted, power lines were down, and debris littered the streets. It was a chaotic scene. Many people were helping each other clear the debris and clean up the streets.
Despite the fear and inconvenience, I felt a sense of community and resilience. Seeing everyone come together to help each other made the experience more positive than I expected. It was a powerful reminder of the human spirit.
