A Day of Insect Collecting
昆虫採集の日
英語ストーリー
The sun peeked through the leaves, casting dappled light on the forest floor. Armed with my net and collecting jar, I embarked on my annual insect collecting adventure. My goal today was to find a rare species of iridescent beetle, rumored to inhabit this very woodland.
Initially, my search proved fruitless. I swept my net through bushes teeming with butterflies, but they were far too common. Disappointment began to creep in. I considered giving up, the heat and humidity sapping my energy.
Then, a flash of vibrant green caught my eye. Hidden beneath a large oak leaf, nestled amongst the fallen acorns, was a cluster of unusually large, emerald-green beetles. My heart leaped! These were them – the elusive iridescent beetles!
Carefully, I scooped them into my jar, marveling at their shimmering beauty. The thrill of the discovery invigorated me, erasing all traces of earlier frustration. It was a perfect end to a perfect day of insect collecting, a reminder of the wonders that nature holds for those who take the time to appreciate them.
