The Changing Leaves

Summer ended with a sigh. The long, hot days gave way to crisp, cool mornings. The vibrant green of the leaves began to subtly shift, hinting at the coming autumn. A gentle breeze rustled through the trees, carrying the scent of damp earth and decaying leaves. One day, I noticed a brilliant splash of crimson amongst the still-green canopy. Soon, more and more leaves followed suit, transforming the landscape into a breathtaking tapestry of red, orange, and gold. Squirrels busily gathered acorns, preparing for the winter ahead, a flurry of activity against the backdrop of changing colors. Autumn is a time of transition, a beautiful farewell to summer's warmth. As the leaves continued to fall, blanketing the ground in a rich carpet, I felt a sense of peace and anticipation for the cozy stillness of winter. The cycle of nature, ever-turning, always holds a certain magic.
