Preparing for an Earthquake
地震への備え
英語ストーリー
My name is Lily, and I live in Japan. Japan is known for its earthquakes, so it's very important to be prepared. My family always keeps a disaster kit with food, water, and a flashlight.
Last week, we had a practice earthquake drill at school. We learned how to 'drop, cover, and hold on'. It was a little scary, but it was good to know what to do in a real emergency. We also practiced finding a safe place under a sturdy desk.
Being prepared makes me feel safer. It's good to know that we have a plan and the necessary supplies. Even small things, like having extra batteries for our flashlights, can make a big difference.
